We are pleased to announce that Amy Hardy, Foothills United Way's Fourmile Recovery Resource Coordinator, has been honored by the Boulder County Business Report as a 2012 Health Care Hero. The announcement was made Thursday, February 9th, at a health care event sponsored by the Business Report at the Millennium Harvest House in Boulder.
Amy was recognized in the Community Service category, for her efforts to institute a mental health voucher program for victims of 2010's Fourmile Canyon Fire. The vouchers allow fire victims to access mental health services at no cost, to help with the healing process.
The voucher program is part of Amy's overall work to coordinate fire recovery resources, inform mountain residents of available resources, and help rebuild the mountain communities devastated by the Fourmile Fire.
The Fourmile Recovery Resource Coordinator position was established in April 2011, funded by Foothills United Way's Fourmile Canyon Fire Relief Fund. More information about the recovery efforts can be found on the Foothills United Way website.
Please help us in congratulating Amy on a job well done, and for serving as a great example of how to LIVE UNITED in our community!
