Foothills United Way is pleased to announce the addition of Volunteer Connection of Boulder County to it array of services for Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
Foothills United Way has finalized the acquisition of Volunteer Connection, a process that started with discussions during the spring of 2011 and progressed through the summer. A committee representing both organizations has worked the past two months to complete the acquisition, with the primary intent being to maintain and advance Volunteer Connection’s high levels of service to Boulder and Broomfield Counties.
“We are excited about having the additional capacity to serve the community through Volunteer Connection as a program of Foothills United Way,” said Barbara Pingrey, Foothills United Way’s President and CEO. “Our call to action - ‘give, advocate, volunteer’ - takes on additional meaning with this move. We look forward to continuing to serve the program’s mission and to expanding the ways volunteers can have significant impact in our community.”
Foothills United Way’s Volunteer Connection, as it will now be known, will begin operations on Monday, August 1, out of United Way's offices in Lafayette. Email to the organization can be sent tovolunteerconnection@unitedwayfoothills.org, and phone calls can be directed to United Way’s main number at 303-444-4013.
