At this time of year, when we pause to be grateful for the many gifts that we have received this year, at PIE we would like to say thank you to those who have contributed and supported PIE participants in reaching their savings goals. PIE receives grants in order to provide a match to participant savings. The savings of each PIE participant is matched at a 4 to 1 match rate, which means that for every $1 saved, $4 are added to assist the participant in reaching their goal of a homeownership down payment, equipment for a new business, or paying tuition/books for education. We are very grateful to our partners who have assisted us in making PIE possible in Boulder and Broomfield counties this year.
Thank you to the following funders and grantors in our work this year:
Assets for Independence, a program of U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
Boulder County Community Action Programs
Boulder County Community Services
City of Boulder Housing Division
Longmont Housing and Community Investment
The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County
Wells Fargo Housing Foundation
Thanks to these funders and our partners in the community at Wells Fargo Bank, Small Business Development Center, Educational Opportunity Center, Boulder County Housing Counseling, and our referral partners, there are currently 60 individuals enrolled in the PIE program. 29 families are saving for homeownership, 17 are pursuing secondary education and 14 are developing a new business. So far this year, we have seen 10 participants graduate from PIE with 7 individuals purchasing homes and 3 participants completing the program in education.
From the Personal Investment Enterprise program we want to say thank you for changing lives in Boulder and Broomfield Counties!
