It can also be difficult to find the time between family, work, friends and community commitments, to learn about the best ways to manage the money that we have.
At PIE, we are always looking for new ways to help make saving easier and effective. Here are two great resources if you know of anyone that is interested in learning how to save or would like to pursue a certain financial goal:
- Locally, Boulder County Housing and Human Services Education and Skill Building provides provides financial housing and financial counseling appointments as well as workshops regarding housing, personal finances and career development.

2. Better Money Habits Build your financial know-how with free tools and information to help you make more confident decisions. It's a simple way of getting real, practical knowledge. This website has videos and quick tips to learn about key financial goals or financial topics. (See financial goals and topics listed below.) By taking 15-30 minutes a week, you can take the first step toward a new financial goal. As Better Money Habits says: “small changes now can yield big benefits later”.
