June is Homeownership Month!
Although buying a home in today's market may seem like a daunting task, with PIE and other community advisers and resources, homeownership is possible. So far this year, seven PIE participants have purchased their new homes and last year, even with the pandemic, 18 PIE participants were able to find a way to move into a home that was affordable for them!
While homeownership is not for everyone, it can provide needed economic stability and a strong foundation for the future. This month, we would like to share some homeownership stories from close to home and from across the country to provide encouragement if you are on the path to homeownership. Perhaps you can glean some tips from these homeowners stories. Also, please find below resources that may be useful if you are ready to pair PIE with other grants or down-payment support so that you will soon be going to closing for your new home.

ABOUT THE PERSONAL INVESTMENT ENTERPRISE (PIE) PROGRAM
The Personal Investment Enterprise (PIE) program is a local savings program provided through Community Action Programs of Boulder County and Mile High United Way. The program is designed for low-income families to enroll in financial literacy classes and save through a matched saving account at a rate of 4 to 1. The first step in applying to the program is to attend an orientation meeting with Diana Sanchez at Community Action Programs at Boulder County.
